Gekko is a Slovenian children’s footwear brand founded by three families with six children, who developed their own shoes while seeking practical footwear for their children. Its barefoot shoes are designed to let young feet move naturally while providing everyday comfort and protection. They feature a thin, level sole without a heel drop, a wide toe box, flexible construction, breathable perforated materials and toe guards for added durability. Elastic laces and hook-and-loop fastening help make the shoes easy to fit and put on, and each shoe weighs less than 100 grams.

Gekko offers seasonal collections for different conditions. The Breeze range is lightweight, airy and flexible for spring and summer, while the Cosy collection is warm, soft and water-repellent for cooler, damp days. The company presents its footwear as supporting natural foot development and says the designs are developed in Slovenia with specialist knowledge and recommended by paediatricians.
