Gelsted Skytteforening

Gelsted Skytteforening is a local shooting club that brings together beginners and experienced shooters in a friendly, safety-focused environment. With roots dating back to the late 19th century, the association has been part of its community for generations. It offers rifle and pistol shooting as sporting activities on 15- and 50-metre ranges, with qualified instructors present to help ensure safe practice.

No previous experience or special qualifications are required, and the club provides the necessary equipment. Newcomers can book a free trial session to try shooting and get an introduction to the sport before deciding whether to join. The club welcomes families and encourages members to enjoy social time together before and after training, alongside the concentration and skills involved in shooting.

Gelsted Skytteforening also provides practical information for participants, including training-night duty schedules, and shares updates about events, competitions and other activities. Its offering combines accessible instruction, organised range sessions and a strong emphasis on safety and community
