Gemeinsam-Menschsein

Gemeinsam-Menschsein provides professional, person-centred educational support for adults with intellectual, psychological, and/or cognitive disabilities. Working within Germany’s integration assistance framework under SGB IX, the team accompanies people in their own homes and communities, helping them pursue individual goals and live as independently and self-determinedly as possible. Its services cover the Vulkaneifel and Bitburg-Prüm districts, with activity also noted in Trier-Saarburg.

Support is tailored to each person’s wishes, strengths, and needs. It can include everyday assistance with shopping, cooking, personal care, household routines, appointments, finances, and contact with relatives or support professionals. The team also helps with personal development, communication, social skills, healthy routines, finding meaningful activities, and participation in leisure and community life. Options include nature-based activities, sports, group experiences, and cultural outings.

Founded by social pedagogue Anna Leufgen, the organisation draws on a multidisciplinary team and a holistic, network-oriented approach. Gemeinsam-Menschsein also offers advice about possible funding arrangements and invites prospective clients to make a free, non-binding enquiry.
