Gen-Blocks is a cryptocurrency mining project focused on making mining costs and operations more transparent. The service gives clients the opportunity to configure mining hardware at locations with low electricity costs, choose the number of miners and select the cryptocurrency they want to mine. Unlike conventional cloud-mining contracts, clients retain ownership of their miners and are charged for actual electricity use and a housing fee.

A dashboard provides real-time information on rig production and costs, alongside customizable reports on earnings and expenses. Gen-Blocks also shares updates on mineable coin prices, cryptocurrency market trends, and emerging mining algorithms. Its featured RIG 8 setup uses eight RX 570 graphics cards and is described with performance figures for Ethash and CryptoNightV7 mining, as well as power consumption on Ethash.

The project draws on experience in business process consulting and business intelligence, developed in partnership with Sfida Italia 4.0. At the time described, it was in early development, with two mining sites in Russia and Ukraine, while testing hardware configurations and developing additional sites.
