About GIMAC Network
The GIMAC Network is a collaboration of approximately 55 national and international organizations committed to promoting gender equality in Africa. Their primary goal is to monitor the implementation of the Solemn Declaration on Gender Equality in Africa (SDGEA), ensuring that it is effectively put into practice. They achieve this by organizing bi-annual Pre-Summit Consultative Meetings to the African Union Assembly of Heads of State and Government.
One of their key initiatives is the development of the Solemn Declaration Index (SDI), a tool used to gather data, review progress, and monitor the implementation of Agenda 2063 and its 10-year Action Plan. With offices in Geneva, Dakar, and Addis Ababa, the GIMAC Network is dedicated to economic empowerment, education, governance, health, human rights, peace, and security. By becoming a member or partner, you can join this important cause and contribute to gender equality in Africa
