Genealogie. Quebec is a dedicated platform for those interested in exploring their Quebec ancestral roots. Built upon the foundational work of Abbé Cyprien Tanguay, the database offers a wealth of information, although it acknowledges that some details are incomplete and require verification against reliable sources such as parish records.

Users can search for individuals using flexible criteria, including partial name matches, and access numerous genealogical tools, like ancestor charts and descendant trees. The site encourages community collaboration, allowing users to contribute knowledge, correct inaccuracies, and engage with tutorials to enhance their research skills. Additionally, offerings include resources on historical records, military and ecclesiastical lists, and methods for documenting marriages and burials.

While advertisements currently support the site, users can opt to make donations to help reduce them. With a warm invitation for visitors to reach out with comments and corrections, Genealogie. Quebec aims to be a comprehensive and user-friendly genealogical resource for Quebec’s rich heritage
