About Generato
Generato is a browser-based AI tool for creating and experiencing 3D models, with a focus on WebXR and Meta Quest. Users can describe an object in a text prompt or upload a photo, then generate a textured 3D model in seconds. The resulting models can be placed in mixed reality through a Meta Quest 2, 3, or Pro headset, letting users view their creations in a real room with passthrough. The service works in the browser and does not require installing an app or using Blender or Unity.
Generato also provides a personal library where generated models are saved to an account and can be opened in VR. Its generation technology uses Meta SAM-3D for 3D reconstruction and FLUX for text-to-image, running on fal.ai; the experience is built with the Immersive Web SDK and Three.js. New accounts receive free credits to try text-to-3D and image-to-3D generation. Users can purchase additional credits when needed, without a subscription.
