Genesis Center North Texas is a faith-based nonprofit shelter and long-term residential recovery program in Kaufman, Texas, serving women and children affected by domestic abuse, addiction, and homelessness. For more than two decades, the organization has offered a safe, structured home where residents can begin healing and work toward stable, independent lives.

Its services include individual counseling, goal setting, mentorship, and faith-centered recovery support for those healing from addiction, abuse, and trauma. Residents can also access life-skills and parenting classes, GED preparation, job training, and spiritual guidance rooted in Christian faith. The program combines practical education, personalized support, and a nurturing community to help women and families rebuild with purpose and hope.

Genesis Center also engages the wider community through fundraising and sponsorship opportunities, including its Fairway to Freedom golf tournament, and invites supporters to contribute through donations and its Amazon wishlist. A community thrift store is another part of its work. Through shelter, guidance, and community support, Genesis Center helps women and children move beyond crisis toward lasting change.
