GENESIS TAEKWONDO

Genesis Taekwondo offers martial arts and self-defense training for adults, children, and families on the Gold Coast, with classes in Southport and Upper Coomera. Founded by Master Instructor Michael Harper, the school teaches a style rooted in traditional Korean Taekwondo and welcomes beginners with no prior experience. Its training combines punches, kicks, blocks, dodges, and interceptions, with an emphasis on practical self-defense rather than sport.

Classes are designed to help students develop fitness, flexibility, focus, confidence, and personal discipline. Children learn in a positive environment that values respect, courtesy, integrity, perseverance, and self-control. Adults can train at any age or fitness level, while families can participate together and access family discounts. The school welcomes students from age five and runs classes throughout the year, including school holidays. New students may enroll at any time and are invited to arrange free introductory lessons by phone, email, or by arriving at a location before class.
