Genevieve MCC, founded by Melissa Genevieve Nelsen, embodies a passion for exceptional Méthode Cap Classique sparkling wines, particularly their renowned Blanc de Blancs. Established in the picturesque Bot River region, Melissa embarked on her winemaking journey fueled by a vision of creating outstanding bubbly that reflects her family's rich history and influences from France, particularly the spirited ambiance of Paris that inspired her middle name, Genevieve.
Since producing its first vintage in 2008, Genevieve MCC has focused on sourcing quality Chardonnay grapes and ensuring their wines exhibit elegance and complexity through extended maturation on the lees. The vineyard's unique terroir contributes to the charming character of their offerings. Melissa’s commitment to the craft has transformed what began as a dream into a thriving business, with a growing ambition to expand production while maintaining quality. In 2017, she integrated a welcoming space for visitors, allowing wine lovers to experience the enchantment of Genevieve MCC firsthand at their Klein Botrivier farm.
