About Genista Wines
Genista Wines is a brand located in the southern Barossa Valley of South Australia. Founded by two passionate Melbourians, Lloyd and Sarah, who followed their dream and moved to Barossa Valley to pursue their love for good food and wine. They fell in love with the area years before and decided to create their own wine brand, starting with a delicious Shiraz.
Genista Wines takes a unique approach to grape growing and winemaking, aiming to steer, not interfere. They are fortunate to have a great spot in a valley with the perfect climate for growing grapes. Through precise vineyard management, they consistently achieve high-grade fruit.
Additionally, they prioritize sustainability and strive to have the lightest carbon footprint possible, from vines to wines. Their wines include the 'Duck, Duck, Cat' Grenache 2021, 'The SG' Shiraz Grenache 2021, and the 'Taking the Mickie' Shiraz from various vintages. These wines are made with a minimalist, hands-off approach, allowing the fruit to shine.
