Gennell Foundation

The Gennell Foundation Inc is a private, nonprofit organization focused on helping families and communities thrive. Founded by Latrice Grant, whose experience working with children and teens in group homes informs its approach, the foundation supports young people alongside the parents and caregivers who shape their futures. Its work aims to expand access to education, promote economic opportunity, encourage youth development, and build partnerships that create lasting change.

The foundation’s areas of focus include job and skills support, small-business growth, tutoring, mentoring and career preparation, food and essential supplies for families in crisis, community safety and violence prevention, and support for grassroots nonprofits. Its programs are in development and include a Community Resource Support Pilot offering emergency assistance through local nonprofit partnerships, Youth Empowerment Workshops with mentorship and life-skills training, and a Nonprofit Collaboration Initiative offering microgrants and consulting support.

Individuals, businesses, and nonprofit organizations can contribute through donations, partnerships, or volunteering. The foundation’s mission is to empower, educate, and uplift underserved communities across the United States.
