GENOFOND is an association dedicated to the genetic preservation of endemic and indigenous resources in Bosnia and Herzegovina. With a focus on promoting the importance of conservation and protection of our living world, GENOFOND aims to enhance the quality of life by safeguarding and improving the environment.

Living in an area that once provided refuge to numerous plant and animal species during the last ice age, Bosnian scientists enjoy the privilege of having one of the richest and most intriguing floristic and faunistic gene pools in Europe. This newly established association brings together a group of young and distinguished experts in natural sciences, committed to a new educational concept based on positive philosophy, ecological ethics, and sustainable development principles.

GENOFOND offers various projects and initiatives aimed at raising awareness and understanding of the significance of endemic and indigenous species in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
