GenTent designs and assembles weather-protection canopies for portable generators, helping people maintain backup power during rain, snow, and severe weather. Its products serve homeowners, contractors, RV users, campers, boaters, and people hosting outdoor events or tailgates. The range includes running covers for open-frame, inverter, and larger generators, with mounting systems designed to fit thousands of models. GenTent also offers accessories and replacement parts, such as storage bags, mounting hardware, replacement components, and skirts for outdoor storage.

The canopies are made with dual-coated marine-grade vinyl and supported by fiberglass rods. Their designs shield control panels, outlets, and other electrical components from precipitation while allowing airflow and exhaust to escape during operation. Mounting options include a Universal Clamp system for many open-frame generators and strap-based kits for enclosed inverter models. GenTent says its canopies are NFPA-rated and engineered for demanding outdoor conditions. The company also provides fit-finding tools, installation videos, generator safety guidance, product information, and retailer listings to help customers select, install, and use a suitable cover.
