Gentle Waters is a Christchurch pet water cremation service offering a personal, compassionate farewell for beloved furry, feathered and scaly family members. The team treats each pet with dignity and meticulous care, and individually water cremates them, guaranteeing the return of their ashes to their people. Its approach is designed to honour the bond between pets and their families while helping make end-of-life arrangements less stressful.

Trusted by veterinarians and chosen by pet lovers, Gentle Waters is delivered by veterinary nurses and works alongside veterinary professionals to support families through a difficult time. The service is affiliated with the International Association of Pet Cemeteries and Crematories.

Alongside water cremation, Gentle Waters offers urns and keepsakes to help families remember their companions. The organisation also shares information about memorials, community events and seminars, and invites people to take part in photoshoots, memorial days and community storytelling. Based on Curries Road in Christchurch, Gentle Waters welcomes enquiries about farewells, keepsakes, advice and feedback, with visits available by appointment.
