Gentofte Skiklub is a Danish sports club founded in 1967 and affiliated with the Danish Ski Federation. Its purpose is to promote interest in alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, snowboarding, telemark skiing and windsurfing. The club offers activities throughout the year, bringing together members for training, events and shared trips.
During winter, members can take part in weekly ski gymnastics to build fitness, local snow activities, and film and information evenings. The club also publicizes ski trips, including group travel with Danish ski instructors, and provides information about ski-instructor training and competition licences. When conditions allow, members can find guidance on nearby cross-country trails.
Summer activities include windsurfing, running, outdoor gymnastics, grass skiing and roller skiing. Beginner windsurfing training is offered in spring and early summer, using the club’s boards; wetsuits and life jackets are available in some sizes. The club also organizes opportunities to help set up its ski lift when enough members are interested.
