Geo-Seas

Geo-Seas is a pioneering organization dedicated to the management and accessibility of marine geological and geophysical data in Europe. With a robust e-infrastructure comprising 26 data centers across 17 maritime countries, Geo-Seas facilitates the identification, location, and retrieval of harmonized marine datasets through a unified data portal. This initiative aligns with key European directives and global framework programs like GEOSS and GMES, reflecting a commitment to enhance data management in both oceanography and marine geoscience.

In addition to standardizing data formats and exchange protocols, Geo-Seas has developed new tools and services tailored to meet the evolving needs of the research community.
