Geobuchhandlungde

Geobuchhandlung.de was a specialist online bookseller serving travelers and map enthusiasts with maps and travel guides for Northern Europe. Operated by Reinhard Kummer and Barbara Christl GbR in Kiel, the shop supplied customers for many years with printed cartography, reflecting a strong commitment to the enduring value of paper maps. Its web shop closed on March 16, 2026, as its operators retired.

Although Geobuchhandlung.de no longer accepts orders, customers in Kiel can continue to find maps and travel guides at the Geobuchhandlung Kiel store, which offers publications covering almost every country. Customers farther afield are directed to MapFox.de, a Kiel-based retailer with maps from around the world and a broad selection for Scandinavia, the Baltic states and the British Isles. MapFox also produces and sells topographic and detailed OpenStreetMap-based maps for large parts of Germany.

The site highlights TopoNord map selections for Norway, Sweden and Finland, including national topographic series and cycling maps for southern Sweden and Finland.
