GeoCraft

GeoCraft is an innovative Minecraft server that brings the entirety of the Netherlands to life within a virtual world. Developed by the Science Center GeoFort in collaboration with Geodan, the VU, and Rijkswaterstaat, GeoCraft immerses players in a dynamic environment where they can contribute to reconstructing the nation by building cities, roads, and landscapes. With its expansive area spanning a staggering 1 trillion Minecraft blocks, users can navigate the terrain using clever commands and coordinates.

The platform encourages creativity and collaboration, inviting players to replicate their homes, schools, and businesses, transforming the initially gray landscapes into vibrant representations of reality. With over 600 community members, including GeoBurgemeesters and even a King, GeoCraft fosters a robust community centered around shared experiences and projects. Regular competitions and events engage participants, making the building journey exciting and educational.
