Geolb APS

GeoL@b APS is a social promotion association founded in 1999 by educators to support environmental education in the Santerno Valley. Based in Faenza, Italy, it has expanded its work across the Reno, Lamone and other Romagna river valleys. The association aims to protect and enhance nature, the environment and the landscape, serving local communities through education, research and environmental documentation. Recognised by the Emilia-Romagna Region as a Centre of Excellence for Education for Sustainability, it collaborates with public institutions, universities, research centres, other associations and individuals.

GeoL@b promotes studies and research, cultural and community activities, conferences, training and professional development on environmental topics. Its projects include educational laboratories on water, air and soil, biodiversity initiatives, field activities, publications and the GeoQuaderno del Suolo. The association also organises scientific and cultural events, workshops and summer schools, and supports initiatives focused on soil and water health, ecosystem conservation and sustainable land use. Its activities are open to members and the wider public and are carried out primarily through volunteers.
