Geopark The South Fyn Archipelago is a UNESCO Global Geopark in Denmark, sharing the story of a dramatic rise in sea levels at the end of the last ice age and the landscapes shaped by retreating ice. These geological changes have influenced the region’s nature and culture for around 10,000 years. Covering 2,733 square kilometres, including 1,304 square kilometres of sea, the geopark has 551 kilometres of coastline and more than 55 islands. Its landscapes are recognised for their outstanding international scientific and geological value.

The geopark helps visitors understand the connection between the Earth, its natural environments and the communities shaped by them. Visitors can explore its geology, sites and local stories, plan trips across the area, and experience the glacial landscapes on foot, by bicycle or from the water.
