The Federation of Geophysics, also referred to as the Geophysics Division, is a Vietnamese organization with roots in the Department of Physics under the General Department of Geology. Established in 1967 through the merger of the department with Division 55, it carries out geophysical and geological work and shares information about its research, technical capabilities, and organizational activities. Its specialist teams cover marine, aeronautical, and ground geophysics, supported by a Center for Technology and Testing of Geophysical Machines.

The Federation’s services include engineering geological surveys using geophysical methods and geophysical surveys for works; its published experience includes a survey for the Theun-Hinboun II Hydroelectricity project in Laos. It also develops and works with geophysical equipment, including magnetometers, gamma spectrometers, and dosimeters, and has reported developing a UAV-based gamma-ray spectrometry device. The organization publishes updates on projects, recruitment, training, and events, and provides information on personnel, financial capacity, and service experience.
