About Georgia Center for the Book
The Georgia Center for the Book is a nonprofit literary organization based in Decatur, Georgia, and one of the Southeast’s largest literary presenters. It connects readers with books, authors, and the cultural heritage of Georgia and the wider South through public events, exhibitions, ongoing reading programs, and digital resources. Its offerings include author events, the Revival: Lost Southern Voices festival celebrating historically excluded and marginalized Southern writers, and The Book As Art exhibition.
The Center also supports statewide reading initiatives, including Roadmap to Reading: Great Reads from Great Places, which highlights books representing the literary heritage of U. S. states and territories.
Its Books All Georgians and Books All Young Georgians Should Read lists, along with monthly featured book resources and past selections, help readers discover titles for adults and young people. Visitors can explore Georgia authors, honors and awards, exhibition archives, and recordings of virtual and hybrid events on the organization’s YouTube channel
