About Georgia Innocence Project
Georgia Innocence Project is a brand dedicated to representing the wrongfully convicted in Georgia. With a mission to seek justice, they have successfully freed and exonerated 13 individuals who collectively spent hundreds of years behind bars for crimes they didn't commit. Each year, they review numerous requests for assistance, investigating compelling claims of innocence and providing limited representation in dozens of active cases.
Shockingly, studies estimate that 4% of incarcerated individuals in the United States are innocent. In Georgia alone, this could mean approximately 2,000 innocent people behind bars. Georgia Innocence Project relies on the support of their community and sponsorships from organizations that believe in their mission.
