Geres

Geres is an NGO focused on climate solidarity, working to address climate change while supporting local populations. It places the energy transition at the heart of its work: expanding access to sustainable energy services, making use of local resources, and encouraging responsible energy consumption. The organization develops projects across West Africa, Central Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Europe–Mediterranean region, including in Benin, Mali, Senegal, Afghanistan, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Cambodia, Myanmar, France, and Morocco.

Geres’ initiatives address energy access, housing comfort, air pollution, and adaptation to extreme heat. Projects in Mongolia aim to make homes warmer and air cleaner while reducing energy use; in Morocco, pilot renovations help homes better withstand high temperatures. The organization also offers expertise and services, and shares project news, guides, studies, and analysis. It works with citizens, businesses, public institutions, local authorities, and foundations, inviting them to support or participate in climate action. Geres provides information about its governance, partners, and activities, and welcomes donations, collaboration, and prospective recruits.
