Gerescal

SCRAP Gerescal is a non-profit organization established as a Collective System of Extended Producer Responsibility for footwear and textiles in Spain. Our mission is to enhance the value of waste generated from these materials through reuse, recycling, or, when necessary, environmentally responsible incineration. We cater to all producers, including manufacturers, distributors, and importers, who are legally obligated to manage a volume of waste equivalent to what they sell in Spain. This initiative aligns with Spain's waste management laws and the European Union's circular economy directives.

At SCRAP Gerescal, we provide effective waste management solutions for our partners, ensuring compliance with the Extended Producer Responsibility principle, which mandates that those who produce waste are responsible for managing it. We promote sustainable practices while contributing to reducing carbon emissions, thereby supporting a healthier environment. Whether through direct collaboration or support services, SCRAP Gerescal is dedicated to transforming waste management into a responsible and beneficial practice for the entire textile and footwear industry.
