German Doctors is a nonprofit medical aid organization that provides healthcare and medical assistance in developing countries. With a focus on areas in the Global South such as Kenya, India, Bangladesh, Sierra Leone, and the Philippines, German Doctors sends volunteer doctors to medically underserved regions for six-week missions. They offer basic medical care to extremely vulnerable populations in slums, rural poverty-stricken areas, refugee camps, and even on a civilian search and rescue ship.

In addition to providing medical treatment, German Doctors also trains local healthcare professionals to strengthen healthcare services in these regions. Since its establishment in 1983, German Doctors has conducted over 7,700 missions in 13 different countries, benefiting approximately 13 million patients. Their work is guided by principles of tolerance, cultural diversity, and societal equality.
