GERRIT is a regional collaboration organisation (RSO) working to improve the availability and exchange of data across the health and wellbeing sectors in the northern Netherlands. As an independent regional partner, it connects care providers, wellbeing organisations and technology, helping people access the right information at the right time and place. Its work supports digital cooperation and the development of future-ready, people-centred care.

GERRIT helps organisations understand and apply legislation and compliance requirements for sharing health information. It also facilitates digital collaboration for networked care, where professionals across organisations and sectors coordinate support for the same patient, and contributes to work on the national Health Information System. Its services and initiatives include GERRIT ZorgMail, GERRIT ZorgNET, Privacy & Security support, XDS-NN, Geboortezorg and Labviewer. Through projects and advisory services, GERRIT supports regional implementation and cooperation, including initiatives involving medication transfer, multidisciplinary meetings and online consent. The organisation also shares sector updates and practical perspectives through news, events and podcasts, helping participants and clients work together on digital priorities.
