GESTCOMPOST

Gestcompost is a Spanish industrial and technology group specializing in the management and treatment of organic and biodegradable waste. With more than 20 years of experience, it turns waste into useful resources through processes designed to recover and valorize the materials it handles. Its services include biomethanization, which breaks down organic matter without oxygen to produce biogas; controlled compost production; and treatment of animal by-products (SANDACH) to generate energy. Gestcompost also manages non-hazardous industrial waste through sorting, storage and recovery, and develops renewable-gas projects that produce biogas and biomethane from organic waste.

The company serves a range of sectors, including paper manufacturing, wastewater treatment, food and agriculture, and industrial and municipal waste management. Its work covers materials such as paper-industry sludge, wastewater-treatment sludge, animal by-products, manure, food waste and separately collected organic waste. Gestcompost operates facilities in Pina de Ebro, Belinchón and Torregrossa, and brings technical expertise in project development, permitting and plant operations. Through collaboration with institutions, universities, forums and laboratories, it supports clients across varied industries.
