Tamara’s Kracht voor VHL is a personal website and webshop built around Tamara’s writing, life story, and efforts to support better treatment for Von Hippel-Lindau (VHL) and brain tumours. Tamara shares her experience of discovering a brain tumour by chance, undergoing major surgery and rehabilitation, and later learning that tumours had returned and that she has the rare inherited condition VHL. Writing and blogging have helped her process these experiences and find strength, and she hopes her story will offer encouragement to people facing illness or other hardships.

The webshop offers her self-written book, Gestrand met een Hersentumor, and is intended to feature her other creations in the future. Tamara is also writing a second book, Terug in zee met hersentumoren, about living with VHL, coping with setbacks, and finding hope and positivity. Purchases and donations contribute to making better treatment possible for Tamara, while supporting the wider need for research into VHL and brain tumours.
