Gesünder Abnehmen

Gesünder Abnehmen is a German information and community portal for people seeking to lose weight through healthy eating and physical activity. The site presents weight loss as a practical process, countering diet myths and quick-fix claims with information informed by current scientific findings. Its articles cover nutrition, popular diets, weight management, psychology, health risks, and exercise, alongside recipes and guidance on sports and training.

Members can join the weight-loss forum to exchange experiences and receive peer support on topics ranging from food and fitness to emotional challenges associated with excess weight and disordered eating. The community also offers personal diaries for recording meals, training plans, weight progress, or everyday experiences.

A free food diary helps users track what they eat and review their energy balance and nutrient intake. It works with the portal’s nutrition calculator and food database, while personal profile information is used to estimate energy expenditure. Additional tools include calorie-consumption and weight-loss calculators, body-mass and waist measurements, fitness tests, and exercise-related calculators.
