Geszterédi Aranyszablya

The Geszterédi Aranyszablya Társaság Alapítvány is a Hungarian foundation established in 2015 by four private individuals to support the heritage, community life and development of Geszteréd. Its central focus is the world-famous Golden Saber and the Conquest-period archaeological finds discovered with it. The foundation works to promote their history, create a memorial site, support archaeological research, commission an authentic saber replica, and encourage local traditions and awareness of the saber. Its initiatives also include plans for publications and a film about the artifact, a local history monograph, and honors such as the Golden Saber commemorative plaque, ring and Vezéri Golden Saber award.

Beyond historical preservation, the foundation supports a memorial for people deported from Geszteréd, local environmental and heritage protection, and educational, cultural, youth and sporting activities. It also aims to assist people in need, support religious life, collaborate with civil organizations and the local government, and develop regional and international connections. The foundation is governed by a three-member board and shares news, events, galleries and documents through its website.
