DroneSight is building a community-powered network to improve awareness of drone activity and public airspace. Its receiver nodes detect standard broadcast Remote ID signals, which function as digital identifiers that drones are required to transmit by law. Data gathered by multiple receivers is combined to create a real-time view of local drone activity, giving users clearer, actionable information about the skies in their area.

The network is currently in private beta, with access limited to active receiver hosts. Individuals interested in participating can apply to host a receiver; approved applicants receive a receiver at no cost, along with setup instructions and installation support. Hosts contribute observations that help expand the network and make its live airspace map more useful. The interactive map is designed to let users explore detected drone traffic, while the beta program helps DroneSight develop its service with community input. By connecting local sensors and sharing trusted Remote ID insights, DroneSight aims to make drone activity more visible to individuals and organizations.
