Get Happy

Get Happy is a North Carolina nonprofit corporation with 501(c)(3) status, focused on restoring quality of life and helping underserved communities thrive. Its mission is to support individuals and families through health and wellness, innovative education, and community-driven engagement. The organization designs practical, research-informed programs for neighborhoods, schools, and community spaces, using trusted facilitators and culturally responsive approaches.

Get Happy’s work is organized around five interconnected pillars. Get Healthy offers nutrition education, access to healthy food, and wellness support. Get Smart provides youth and young adults with academic support, workforce readiness, and exposure to trades, entrepreneurship, and local food systems. Get Creative uses writing, visual arts, and creative activities to encourage expression and confidence. Get Informed covers life education, including health literacy, parenting, money awareness, and career readiness. Get Active makes movement accessible through fitness, dance, and walking activities.

Get Happy also envisions affordable single-family housing with shared gathering spaces and community partnerships, creating pathways to homeownership while supporting connected, healthy communities.
