Get Hyped

Get Hyped is a K1 kickboxing academy serving Frinton-on-Sea and Walton-on-the-Naze. More than a gym, it describes itself as a supportive community where members of different experience levels work together to learn and improve. The academy offers age-specific classes for children and adults, including its Ninja Academy for younger children, junior kickboxing programmes, and adult kickboxing.

Classes are designed to be fun, challenging, and safe, and cover pad and bag work, ring craft, Dutch drilling, and clinch techniques. Regular sessions are non-contact, with optional sparring classes and opportunities to compete, from interclubs to fight shows. Get Hyped also offers fitness and mixed martial arts classes, plus one-to-one or small-group support for children with special educational needs.

Its approach emphasizes mutual respect, positive exercise, teamwork, and a low student-to-coach ratio. Coaches are described as qualified, insured, first-aid and safeguarding trained, and enhanced DBS checked. With programmes for beginners and experienced fighters alike, Get Hyped aims to help members build technique, confidence, and fitness in an inclusive setting
