Get Wed

Get Wed is a non-denominational, open-minded wedding service offering professional marriage officers and personalised ceremonies across KwaZulu-Natal and elsewhere in South Africa. Marrying couples since 2011, the business reports more than 1,900 couples served at over 378 venues. Its approach is warm and practical, helping couples create meaningful celebrations without lengthy speeches or unnecessary stress, while guiding them through each step from planning to the ceremony.

Services include legal marriage registrations, civil unions, same-sex marriages and partnerships, vow renewals, elopements, commitment ceremonies, and wedding ceremonies in traditional, fusion, humanist, spiritual, religious, or non-religious styles. Couples can choose a paperwork-only option, a simple intimate ceremony, or a larger celebration tailored to their personalities and preferences. Get Wed also manages required legal formalities and Home Affairs registration, with guidance on subsequent certificate collection and surname updates. Ceremonies can take place at a couple’s chosen location, including homes, beaches, parks, game reserves, and boats, or registration can be arranged at the company’s Ballito office.
