GEW Wilhelmshaven GmbH

GEW Wilhelmshaven is a local energy and utility provider serving households and businesses in Wilhelmshaven. Part of the city for more than 100 years, the company supplies electricity, natural gas and drinking water, alongside heat and services for solar power and electric mobility. Its electricity offering includes havenstrom natur, a TÜV Nord-certified product sourced entirely from renewable energy; GEW also donates 0.6 cents per kilowatt-hour to the Wadden Sea National Park through this tariff. Its haven gas plans provide energy for heating, with support from a locally focused customer service team.

GEW helps customers manage energy use and costs through personal energy advice, including guidance on savings and climate-conscious improvements. It also offers individual consultation and planning for heat pumps, and electricity options for electric-vehicle charging. Additional services include network connections, meter readings, moving and contract support, and online requests such as gas meter removal. As the responsible metering operator in its network area, GEW installs and operates electricity meters.
