Gezinshuis Masido

Gezinshuis Masido is a family-style care home in Enschede, in the Twente region of the Netherlands, near Lonneker. It offers a safe, welcoming place for children and young people who cannot live at home temporarily and for whom foster care is not a suitable option. The home’s approach centres on giving each child room to be a child and supporting their development in a family setting.

Masido also provides overnight respite care and day care for children under 18 with multiple disabilities or intellectual disabilities. This service can give parents and caregivers a short break, with care available for a few hours, a day, or several regular days. The team’s experience includes nursing, residential support, care for people with intellectual disabilities, acquired brain injury, and profound multiple disabilities. The home also welcomes children who need medical care. Simone has nursing experience in children’s home care and a BIG registration; Maarten is registered with the SKJ, the Dutch youth-care quality register.
