About GGA
Good Governance Africa - Nigeria (GGA-Nigeria) is a brand dedicated to promoting good governance in Africa's largest economy and most populous country. Through research, policy engagement, and various activities, GGA-Nigeria aims to contribute to sustainable socio-economic development. Their core activities are organized around three thematic pillars that address Nigeria's pressing challenges and opportunities.
The first pillar, the BIZ-ENV PROGRAMME, focuses on improving the business environment by analyzing software issues that hinder well-functioning markets and dynamic business sectors. Priority themes include enhancing corporate governance, competitiveness, and corporate sustainability. The second pillar, the EXT-REF PROGRAMME, is concerned with the reform of Nigeria's extractive industries, such as oil and gas.
This program aims to reform taxation and fiscal provisions in these sectors to shift the focus towards Gas-to-Power projects. The third pillar, the INN-SUS PROGRAMME, aims to uncover and upscale successful governance innovations by connecting them to technical and financial support. This program focuses on accountability frameworks, youth and gender empowerment, climate innovations, agricultural development, and catalysts at all levels of government in Nigeria.
GGA-Nigeria also provides publications that cover critical topics in Nigeria's governance, such as the Niger coup crisis and reforms by the country's president. Stay informed and support the work of GGA-Nigeria in promoting good governance in Nigeria
