The Green for Growth Fund (GGF) is an impact investment fund that aims to mitigate climate change and promote sustainable economic growth. With a focus on reducing CO2 emissions, energy consumption, and resource use, the GGF invests in measures that prioritize energy and resource efficiency. As a blended finance structure, the fund leverages risk-capital from public institutions and private capital to increase investment volumes in regions and sectors that typically do not attract such flows.

By channeling financing through local financial institutions and direct investments in eligible projects and companies, the GGF supports businesses and households. Additionally, a dedicated Technical Assistance Facility ensures the successful implementation of these investments to international standards. Operating in 19 markets across Southeast Europe, including Turkey, the European Eastern Neighbourhood Region, and the Middle East and North Africa, the GGF has made substantial investments, resulting in significant CO2 reduction, energy savings, and renewable energy generation.
