The Guelph Girls Hockey Association (GGHA) is dedicated to promoting female hockey in Guelph, providing opportunities for girls of all ages and skill levels to engage in the sport. As a proud member of the Ontario Women's Hockey Association (OWHA), GGHA offers a variety of programs designed to foster skill development, teamwork, and leadership. Their initiatives include the First Shift program, which introduces young girls, aged 6 to 10, to hockey through a fun and inclusive environment that provides equipment and expert coaching.

GGHA organizes competitive teams across various age divisions, from local leagues to rep teams, ensuring that every player can find a suitable fit. They also host several annual tournaments, such as the Guelph Winter Classic and Guelph Spring Classic, allowing teams to showcase their talents. Furthermore, the association emphasizes the importance of female leadership in sports through specialized programs and mentorship opportunities.

With a strong community focus, GGHA continues to inspire young girls to develop a lifelong passion for hockey
