Goodwill of Greater Detroit

Goodwill's Green Works is an industrial recycling and asset recovery brand located on Detroit's east side. As a subsidiary of Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit, they specialize in providing sustainable and cost-effective asset recovery services. Their Green Works facility utilizes a clean room processing approach to break down and process environmentally sensitive materials.

They recycle a wide range of waste materials from industrial structures, such as cable wiring, transformers, and even household refrigerators. By leveraging the commodity market, Green Works transforms scrap materials into valuable resources for a second life, contributing to a greener and more sustainable future. Collaborating with a variety of customers, including a longstanding partnership with DTE Energy, they also prepare individuals for middle-class factory employment positions through transitional work experience and independent employment opportunities.

With a dedicated team and strong community and corporate partnerships, Goodwill's Green Works is committed to making a positive impact on both the environment and people's lives in Detroit
