About GHRC of Central Asia
The Global Health Research Center of Central Asia (GHRCCA), affiliated with Columbia University, is dedicated to studying and addressing global health issues in the Central Asian region. Their mission is to improve the health and well-being of the population by focusing on various pressing problems such as HIV/AIDS, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), tuberculosis, hepatitis C, substance abuse, malnutrition, and mental health. The center also works towards healthcare system reforms and improving access to medical services and care.
By leveraging knowledge from Columbia University and Central Asia, the center facilitates collaboration between government organizations, non-governmental structures, scientific institutions, and academic establishments. Through evidence-based research, the center aims to enhance the quality of life in Central Asia by addressing regional health challenges. With an innovative approach, the center promotes public health, fosters multidisciplinary collaboration, and drives the development of a regional research infrastructure to tackle HIV/AIDS and other global health issues effectively
