About USAID Global Health Supply Chain
The U.S. Government Global Health Supply Chain Program (GHSC) brings together complementary projects to help ensure a reliable, uninterrupted supply of lifesaving public health commodities worldwide. Drawing on lessons from more than a decade of global health supply chain management, the program consolidates purchasing and distribution efforts across the health sector to support greater efficiency and cost savings.
GHSC’s work spans procurement, last-mile delivery, in-country supply chain systems, operational support, quality assurance, and service delivery. Its projects provide medicines, technologies, pharmaceutical services, and technical assistance, while initiatives address the quality of medicines, rapid test kits, and preparedness and response. Program tools and resources include an e-catalog, eligible supplier lists, data visualization, activity-based costing, and supply chain planning and delivery resources.
Through projects operating in multiple countries, GHSC works with partners and suppliers to strengthen access to health products and services. The program shares quarterly reports, news, resources, and success stories on its website, highlighting efforts to improve supply chain management and help maintain the availability of essential commodities for millions of people.
