Gibbon Conservation Society (GCS) is a Malaysian NGO dedicated to the protection and conservation of gibbons, an endangered species. Founded unofficially in 2013, GCS believes in a comprehensive approach to conservation that encompasses rehabilitation, tackling wildlife trade, empowering individuals, collaborating with communities, contributing to scientific research, and spreading awareness worldwide. GCS was established by Mariana Ramli, also known as Bam, who became passionate about gibbons after caring for an infant gibbon named Ellek.

Despite the challenges and the heartbreaking loss of Ellek, Bam's commitment to these animals led her to create the Malaya Gibbon Rehabilitation Project (Malaya GReP) and eventually the Gibbon Conservation Society. GCS operates two internationally-accredited rehabilitation centers in Malaysia, providing a safe and nurturing environment for gibbons. They also offer various ways to support their mission.
