Giechelkontjes

Giechelkontjes is a small, home-based childcare provider in Muntendam, run by childminder Sandra Meek. Its approach is designed to give children a safe, welcoming place where they can develop while sharing in a family-style daily routine. The service places particular emphasis on social development, helping children learn to connect with others, share, and play together.

Care is guided by the principles of rest, cleanliness, and regularity. Children follow familiar daily rhythms that include eating, sleeping, playing, sharing, and tidying up, with care adapted to their needs. Activities also include making crafts for occasions such as birthdays, Mother’s Day, and Father’s Day.

The home is described as child-friendly and equipped with developmental materials for different ages. Children can sleep in a quiet upstairs space and play in an enclosed garden with items such as bicycles, tricycles, a swing, and a trampoline. The location is in the Tolweg neighborhood, near OBS De Menterhorn and the Tussen de Venen nature area. Families can contact Giechelkontjes to arrange a visit and learn more.
