About GIESEPP
GIESEPP, which stands for Gridded Ion Engine Standardised Electric Propulsion Platform, is at the forefront of developing cutting-edge electric propulsion systems designed to enhance satellite operations in Low Earth Orbit (LEO), Geostationary Orbit (GEO), and beyond. Backed by the European Union's Horizon 2020 initiative, GIESEPP brings together a consortium of leading aerospace partners, including ArianeGroup, QinetiQ, and Airbus Defence and Space, among others.
The project aims to create a standardized Plug and Play Gridded Ion Engine System that delivers cost-effective and innovative solutions for future satellite assets. Through rigorous development and testing, GIESEPP is advancing capabilities in electric propulsion technology, ultimately addressing the technical demands of commercial and exploratory missions.
