Gilman Brewing is an established craft beer brand that offers a wide range of exceptional beers for California craft beer enthusiasts. Founded in 2015 by veterinary orthopedic surgeons and experienced brewers Sean Wells and Tim Sellmeyer, along with their professional musician best friend John Schuman, Gilman Brewing has quickly become a beloved name in the industry. Situated in West Berkeley, their production brewery and taproom, located next to the historic music venue 924 Gilman, provide a vibrant and inviting atmosphere for beer lovers.

With almost 40 years of brewing experience, Sean and Tim's passion lies in creating flavorful Belgian Farmhouse ales. They have transformed an old automotive repair shop with their own hands into the brewery that is loved by so many today. Gilman Brewing offers 35 seasonal and annual beers, served fresh on draught or in 16 oz.

Their annual production of 3,000 barrels is enjoyed at their West Berkeley taproom and new Daly City taproom/restaurant. In early 2020, they will be expanding with a third taproom in Pleasanton and expanding their Gilman Street location. The brand has received numerous accolades, including being awarded over 30 medals, including 10 gold medals, at esteemed craft beer competitions.

Notably, Gilman Brewing has been recognized as the California American IPA Brewery of the Year and California Saison Brewery of the Year at the New York International Beer Competition.
