Gilmer Arts, formerly known as the Gilmer Arts Council, is a non-profit organization that has been promoting arts and culture in the Gilmer County community since 1979. Initially managed solely by volunteers, the organization has grown over the years to provide a wide range of products and services.

Gilmer Arts offers an art gallery and a gift shop where local artists can showcase and sell their works. They also organize various events and concerts, including the popular Bringing Ellijay Sensational Talent (B.E.S.T.) Series, which brings award-winning national and international performers to the area. Additionally, they support arts education in local schools through their B.E.S.T. For Kids program.

For those interested in performing arts, Gilmer Arts has a community chorus and a community theater group called the Gilmer Arts Players. They also offer classes, workshops, and scholarships in performing, visual, and literary arts.
