Gingaxe

Grupo Gingaxe is a Capoeira group offering classes, workshops and shows in Amsterdam, Hilversum, Uithoorn and Alphen aan den Rijn. Its lessons are open to children and adults, with instructors teaching in different locations across the four areas. The group introduces students to Capoeira, a Brazilian martial art that combines movement, dance, acrobatics and music. Practised in a circle, or roda, it brings together two players while others sing, clap and play traditional instruments such as the berimbau, atabaque, pandeiro, agogô and reco-reco.

Grupo Gingaxe presents Capoeira as both a physical practice and a cultural art form. Classes offer opportunities to develop fitness, coordination, self-defence skills and confidence. The group also provides school workshops for children, introducing movement, music, Brazilian culture and teamwork in an engaging setting. Its website features information about instructors, locations, Capoeira Angola and Regional, the cord system, songs and instruments, as well as an agenda and contact details. Personal training is also presented as a service, with individual guidance tailored to fitness goals and needs.
